LAFAYETTE — Helen Margaret (Pearson) Fawbush, 80, formerly of 502 S. 15th St., Lafayette, died at 9:22 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. She was born May 20, 1920 in Davis Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Fern John and Mable Lauretta Wagoner Pearson. She married James Fawbush in 1952 in Montana. She was raised in Riverside and graduated from Attica High School in 1939. She moved to Lafayette in 1941 where she lived until going into the nursing center in April 1996. She worked as a tester for Duncan Electric (Siemens) for 31 years. She was a member of the former E.U.B. Church in Riverside, Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge #2596 of Attica, and a former member of Women of the Moose of Attica. Survivors include: a sister, Louise Buster, Attica; five nieces, Joyce Weaver, South Dakota, Donna Wolfe and Karen Bracken, both of Attica, Linda Elmore and Robin King, both of Williamsport; a nephew, Ron Chastain, Williamsport; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Marie and Lauretta Fern Pearson and Lucille Alene Chastain. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Harvey Lange officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) with Eagles memorial services being held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Cemetery Association. – jlr
